N. J. “Pete” Pointner is the president of Corporate Services Inc. (CSI), an independent
consulting firm. The mission of CSI is to help create and shape sustainable human
communities which are in harmony with the human, natural and man made
environments of which they are a part, communities that nourish the human spirit.
Pointner has espoused environmentally based planning in a professional career that
has spanned nearly 50 years. Some would call this green planning, planning that is
based on sound principles with a special emphasis on the environmental compatibility of
development, context sensitive design and consideration of sustainability – to the
extent that it can be addressed in planning decisions.
“Pete” Pointner is an architect and planner with 47 years of professional experience beyond the master’s level in city and regional planning. He is a life member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers and has been elected to the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Certified Planners.
